I think the biggest problem is the fact that it is a three-pronged Choice.

Where two of them are fighting each other to become the biggest dumpster fire and the last one is just trying to function.

The whole point of self-hosting it is to not put the information on a public cloud. But, thankfully the F-Droid fork is still going on and I had misread it anyway.

I do have it installed through F-Droid. I thought I read that they weren’t really going to be focusing on it at all, so updates may just die out.

I think you’re even being too short-sighted on that because that’s what they did with Biden.

Less workers, less people that have to pay, and more money can be funneled to the top.

But there’s a certain point where your age does matter when you’re trying to do what is said to be the most stressful job on the planet.

The stress from the job is just going to make them have those cognitive decline faster at the age that they’re at.

So age does matter. Where it should not be the only marker, it should be included in the decision.

Also, there’s already a limit on how old you have to be to run for president. There should be a top end as well for the same reasons you are no longer reflecting the majority of your peers at that point.

And when you consider most 80 year olds don’t understand technology at all, and I haven’t met any 80 year olds that were up to date, it is a big factor.

Don’t you just love how it’s all about states’ rights when it comes to things like abortion, but as soon as it’s gun control, the states’ rights don’t matter.

If you watch their videos, they explain it. They don’t want to call it a free product because they’re working hard on it and should be paid for it. But it is a perpetual trial license for those that don’t have the means or ability to pay.
