honestly that’s kinda warranted. It’s pretty unstable right now. We have to restart our dedicated server at minimum once a day, and I’ve had to quit and rejoin every couple of hours. I’m an early access player, so I saw the game through it’s rockiest bits, but they can’t release 1.1 in that state.

Thanks for the insights. Normally I’m 100% good with releasing it when it’s ready as well as not giving a date ahead of time. But I’m about the head out of the country for a week or so, and needed to know whether to bring my Steam Deck =). It sounds like it still has a ways to go, and I’ll be back before it’s release.

I haven’t played locally on a steam deck, but I have played via a dedicated server. Overall it runs better than I expected. Using a controller is… Interesting after 5 years of keyboard and mouse, but I can see that you’d get the hang of it.

I’d say try it out BUT, moving to experimental is a one way road. Once you migrate your save to 1.1 you can’t load it again in 1.0. so be sure

I can just wait. I tried it out on Steam Deck using a community profile (1.0), and gave up pretty quickly. The game is just too complex to hack controller support on top of it, so I am hopeful for the official support. I’d only even consider it when traveling, and otherwise I’d just use a PC.

Good to know! I figured since the last patch note was more than a week ago and had little bug fixes, it was an indication that it’s pretty stable now.

You can’t really assume that. It could also mean they are working on some complex bugs that just take more time to fix. And don’t forget holidays are starting for a lot of people, so they might have to make do with less developers in the upcoming period.
