Jeremy Clarkson recently declared victory over Musk:

"I said it was unreliable, which it was; that it was ridiculously expensive, which it was; and that because it weighed more than most moons, it didn’t handle very well. Which it didn’t.

"Musk was very angry about this and sued us for defamation, claiming I had a problem with electrical cars and had written the piece before even setting foot in the car.

"He lost the case, and the appeal, and he’s never really got over it. He still claims I was biased and that we pretended his car had broken down when it hadn’t. Even though it had.

“I should really have sued him back, but I feared he’d call me a paedo, so instead I just waited on the river bank for his body to float past. And now it has.”

            Yup.

I will never agree with Clarkson politically and I know he can be a huge arsehole to people, but the man took a pie to the face and laughed it off.

Musk would probably have had his bodyguards remove the person and sued her into bankruptcy.

Clarkson’s assholeness is “I like the old way of life, cars that put out way more emissions than they need to, and I’m slightly racist.” Musk’s assholeness is “Everyone in the entire world is an idiot, I should be in control of everything and I’m doing everything I can to make sure that happens. Also I’m literally making sure the planet has as many of my offspring as possible because my genes are so superior to everyone else’s. I’m willing to buy governments to make sure I can control people’s lives better”

It’s almost like “fighting government waste”, was just some bullshit excuse to get away with cheating customers. Who could have seen this coming?

The most effective way for them to fight government waste would be to not sign executive orders unless they are unambiguously legal. This administration is constantly making work for federal lawyers at every possible opportunity, and lawyers are really expensive. “fighting government waste” is completely a smoke screen for what they’re actually doing.

I remember when their original review happened. I really thought they were just bashing on it because it was electric and it was part of a joke. Nope, it’s been said several times that the car they tested was a piece of shit. They have given glowing reviews of several electrics and make it clear they didn’t hate electric just because.

Damn, it’s almost like he actually has no moral integrity and will simply say whatever serves his personal interests in the moment.

Maybe we should start working from that assumption anytime he speaks.
