It’s the New Jim Crow.
It’s the New Jim Crow.
Does the mayor own a car dealership? For us, it is the county judge and so we have no public transit. Why would people buy from his Lexus dealership if the bus could get them where they needed to go? It’s insanity.
I went with bookstack. Simple to use and does exactly what OP is asking. Tailscale to connect so it isn’t public at all. Works great for me.
HR is there to protect the company, not help you.
Which is why they are experimenting with destroying the Houston ISD. Forcing parents to choose between sending their children to prison factories or supporting vouchers to try and get something like an education.
They have logs of him using the school’s network to visit ai audio generators, so that case will probably stick…
I think this is it. Within weeks I had downloaded every game from usenet and the only money Sega made from me was buying samba de amigo to get the maraca controllers.
It was a mistake too - so many games to play that I never committed to anything and got bored and stopped playing anything.
Car wash mode shuts off the automatic braking, folds in the mirrors, closes the windows, and puts it in neutral. It isn’t to protect the steel or anything silly like that.
The chance of a rebuild taking longer than a failure occurring is non zero. RAID 1 is less protection that raid 50 or raid 60, plus depending on how many disks you have you will save space and get better performance.
But you need a good controller.
The hitchhikers’ radio series on cassette started my love of audiobooks. I listened to it dozens of times as a teen. Went to sleep listening to it.
You are paying to use Google, with all your data feeding their advertising machine.
I don’t really eat it anymore, but Alpha-bits was the best cereal in Canada.
Thank you. My Tesla is essentially worthless now, as I couldn’t sell it to anyone in good conscience. I thought I was helping save the earth and helped finance a disaster instead.
You can get two more for $10 from teslas site… but I believe you need one to program them. My wife and I keep ours in our wallets, just in case phone keys don’t work or get stolen.
It’s something they “broke” recently. You used to require a physical card to pair a new phone key. I noticed when I replaced my phone that it was no longer needed. They should be able to fix it easily, but I’m sure they won’t.
You can enable pin to drive to reduce the risk, but if you have the creds and there is no 2FA on the account then you can use the app to bypass it.
Solidarity! The union makes us strong.
Same. Helping to trickle down, unlike actual rich people.
They are doing you a favor. I bought my kid a Dell laptop (xps13) for college and 6 months later the battery life dropped from 12 hours to 2 and Dell support said it was normal and refused to do anything about it. That was after the original order which was supposed to take 6 weeks for delivery (bad enough) actually took 14 weeks. It arrived two days before they left for school. Worst experience ever.
The replacement MacBook Air was delivered to their dorm the next day and has been flawless since (over a year now). It actually cost less too.
I’m actively looking for opportunities to use AI to replace the work I do, and not finding many effective ones so far. Sure it can write some crappy code for me, but writing code comes after the hard part, which is identifying the problem and how it could be solved with tech. Novel problems need novel solutions and an LLM can’t generate those.
Catherine the Great is coming for tea.
