OOP posts “out shopping, found this” the very next post in OPs feed is “woman out shopping, finds husband” making it seem like OOP and the woman in the second post are the same person and her husband is the lemmy soda(juice?)
Sure is! It’s my favourite superpower.
I don’t need tim hortons to catch up with the rest of the world. I need tim hortons to have quality coffee and fresh donuts, which for a COFFEE shop, they don’t have.
Ahh, okay, thanks! It’s been a while since I last watched
Isn’t there a scene where either Aragon or Boromir wears the ring and turns invisible? Or am I making this up?
Rage Against the Machine’s Renegades of Funk was originally written and performed by a band called Afrika Bambaataa & Soulsonic Force in 1983.
Way back yes, toys for bob took over when they remastered crash and spyro, or maybe they took over way before that. I’m not sure
I’m a phlebotomist and this is correct, there’s also many other factors that can result in missing a vein, dehydration being the biggest factor and even just the size of the vein.
I joined Lemmy during the great Reddit exodus and I’ve been here pretty much since then and to be honest, I never really felt the difference between the two except user count, so it’s interesting to hear other people’s perspective such as yours.
As to your last point, I think there are a lot of factors, anonymity being the biggest one. Lack of social contracts being another. It’s easier to be a jerk behind the screen where you don’t have to actually face the real-life consequences of treating people poorly. Compound that with others who encourage and join in on the hate. Sometimes, it’s deserved, though more often than not, it isn’t. That’s just my theory, though.
People are shit regardless of where you are on the internet, so this narrative that lemmy is better than anywhere else is just, silly imo.
This is what I’ve been mostly asking myself since I’ve heard the homicide ruling. Forcillo has already been tried, convicted, and served his time. I have the most basic understanding of our laws, but he can’t be recharged for the same crime? However, could the family sue him in, like, civil court or something, based on this new ruling?
This reminds me of the convoy of “protesters” a couple of years ago in Ottawa, except those idiots actually made it to their destination…
OK, so the fact that you’re refusing to back up your claims tells me everything I need to know. You take talking points from far right rhetoric and pull them out of your ass. It stinks, you can’t show it because there is nothing to show. It’s all ass air, man. Ass air ain’t shit.
The person who makes a claim is responsible for providing sources to back up their claim. It is not my responsibility to take your claims at face value. If you speak of facts and statistics, show them. Don’t spew hateful shit for the sake of spewing hateful shit.
Sources please. If you’re going to make a claim like this, back it up.
I corrected it to toxins, as acetone can still be harmful. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
From my very limited knowledge in 3D printing and the types of solvents used, most contain things like acrolein and acetone, both of which are known toxins. So yes, this is a health risk without proper ventilation and I’m guessing your office doesn’t have that. I’d bring this up immediately with your boss and if you have the original containers the solvents came in, check for ingredients and potential health hazards.
If you genuinely think trans people aren’t being hurt by anyone who carries the anti-trans belief, then I recommend looking up some of the many news articles that details violence against trans people.
I’ve provided some for you, I genuinely hope that you take the time to read these.

The last one I posted tracks all of the current anti-LGBT legislation that’s trying to pass into law. It’s not just physical or emotional violence trans and LGBT people face, it’s also people trying to enact laws that actively deny their rights as human beings. This isn’t exclusive to America either, I got results from all over the world during my search.
You may not be violent in your beliefs, but it doesn’t mean others aren’t.
