Plus the original demand was 15 days of sick leave, and then a tepid 7-day sick leave proposal was sent to die in congress. It’s not a miracle that Biden was able to get 5 days. Breaking the strike with state power and then casting crumbs in our direction was a flex on the working class saying “nah you’ll only get what we allow you to have. You don’t deserve to demand shit.”

Fixing emote scaling would make it less jarring to see them out in the wild. The ppb moratorium has cleaned up threads a lot and hope it continues. Honestly at this point, I’m more annoyed by posts about hexbear/defederation than I am about the instance, especially people who have made it their entire personality to campaign for censoring it from lemmy entirely.

Hexbears are actually a nice bunch if you read through the comments on the current megathread. They just have very little tolerance for self-satisfied libs that congratulate themselves for thumping the Washington consensus-approved ideologies that most of hexbear graduated from years ago. Even I find it difficult to read lemmy comments because they’re legitimately what I would’ve written as a teenage redditor in the late 2000s.
