I stand corrected! Just proves my point more though - even if a small population is at risk, we step in as a society decide that people should do/not do a certain thing that has the potential for harm.

But you don’t have a right for your child to endanger someone else’s child. Obviously there is a blurry line there e.g., if my kid has a PB&J he might endanger the welfare of a child with nut allergies. Are we going to ban nuts? Probably not, because not enough kids can get sick from them to warrant that kind of action.

Everyone’s kids can get measles. Or covid. Or polio. Or -insert preventable disease here-

Therefore everyone’s kids should get vaccinated. I get that our government does shady shit sometimes, but people without any scientific background take that and then believe that vaccines are some huge conspiracy.

It’s not.

Science proves they work and do not harm you belong a tiny margin of fringe cases where people have severe side effects (like less than 0.1% of ppl).

What I don’t understand is how removing the tax revenue generated by the urban areas was supposed to make things better for the rural areas? These proposals always felt like memes that somehow got shoved into state legislation.

Republicans decimated the public school funding for decades so that they could have a population full of rubes who think this guy was a genius. That’s not counting the smart ones who are just trying to buy there way into policy-making that favors whatever scheme they pull in their respective industry.

Otherwise I don’t see how any person with half a brain could hear this guy speak and say yeah, this guy should run things.

Don’t see it as black and white?

One has:

-sexually assaulted women

-berated his own family

-made disparaging comments about disabled people and just about every minority you can think of

-touted false cures for COVID-19 among his followers

-Used a sharpie to try and change the report on a hurricane landfall path (lol)

-scaled back the SNAP food benefits programs, removing more than 700,000 Americans from receiving food aid

-paid his lawyers with campaign funds

-cheated on his wives

-rolled back standards for oil and gas companies allowing them to release more methane into the atmosphere

-pardoned blackwater agents accused of war crimes in Iraq

-abandoned Kurdish allies in syria by abruptly pulling out troops.

-held on to classified documents in his bathroom after his presidency

-has recently been indicated on multiple counts of fraud

The other has:

-akwardly/creepily stood behind women and children

-called a kid ‘fat’ once I think

-choose a hypocrite for a VP (this applies to both, really)

-rambled incoherently during speeches (again, applies to both)

My lists are biased (cause I’m a human and that’s how we do), and it may not be black and white, but even a blind person could tell the difference between those shades of grey.
