Ah yes, I love tech jargon overload
Ah yes, I love tech jargon overload
I just dipped my feet in Vim yesterday, I found it not intuitive at all. :wq! To exit a read only file? I’m too dumb to think of syntax like that!
My friend, let me introduce you to parking spaces.
I remember when the algorithms started sorting by engagement rather than chronologically. I quickly came up with a workaround to keep my feed the way it was, but, eventually that workaround was removed. I still checked the website occasionally but noticed the overall tone becoming less vane, over sharing, people using it like journals and selfie bombing to more angry, rage filled, posting news articles, boomer cartoons and jpeg fuzzy memes. It took a major turn after 2016 elections in US. Instagram was my go to after that but in about a year or so the same sequence of bs started happening. Haven’t really engaged with either service since 2020 save for occasional things to check a couple times a month.
That last one lol, G.O.A.T.S.E.X. Your creativity is wonderful!
I don’t know what it is but I love it when the word slam is casually thrown into headlines and articles. Some weird fetish I guess. I don’t like clickbait but the use of that word is hilarious to me, especially when describing casual arguments like this instance.
Ugh, some days are tough. Man, why you gotta keep bringing this up. The good news is I finished the bathroom project I started 2.5 years ago on Sunday.
Slammin’ 😎
I definitely went down the rabbit hole after reading the article posted, which was very well compiled. Their testing and reviews are very high quality and it looks like they can apply their test results to multiple curated use cases. Their tests also seem repeatable, which is important for this niche. To branch out, they would have to build out very specific testing environments, which is not a small investment, depending on what they are testing. If I ever need an air purifier, I know where to look now I guess. Like some say, if your going to do something, focus on doing one thing and do it well.
Man, I want to get back into this game, I never beat it either. But some of the boss battles are like intricate dances. Don’t even get me started on the path of pain.
And while CL also has scammers, I find it a more pleasant experience than FB marketplace.
I don’t know if it was VPN or using uBo but the last time I tried viewing content on my Linux setup all I saw was the whoa there pardner page.
Looks like straight up rage bait. I mean reddit was heading down that path for at least the last 5 years but that is progressively worse than last July
Wednesday forever and this whole grocery store hated me kind of covers that, but yeah, dread is especially apparent with phone calls and late afternoon appointments.
To quote System of A Down, “we don’t need to multiply”
“Is this still available? I’ll pay you on Venmo now and my son will come by and pick it up. What’s your email?”
It’s all so complex. They also produce a major chunk of renewable energy tech as I understand. Which I wouldn’t be surprised was made cheaply without longevity in mind. I’d be surprised if some of that tech lasts more than 5 years, especially for what they sold to Europe and the US. And the kicker, they continue to build coal power plants to run their production of western demanded products. The whole current status quo is a giant mess!
I truly enjoy seeing you pop up all over Lemmy, especially with posts and comments like these! Rose gold effort!
Yeah, I’m getting ready to stop scrolling “All”. It’s becoming more depressing than Reddit or Facebook ever was. US Presidential Election year rage bait is back in full swing I guess and Lemmy isn’t immune. I might lean more back into my hobbies, personal projects, and games while keeping my news feeds on a weekly review.
