Define ‘we’. Not all of us are communists.
Every day I’m on this Earth, the sheer breadth of human diversity (especially when it comes to thoughts and opinions) continues to astound me.
Certainly not rich enough to host the amount of content it does, or pay content creators what they get paid.
YouTube too. For all the shit we give Google for it, there’s no way it could’ve grown into what it is if it didn’t have all that spare cash to burn.
Honestly, it feels like Google lost the plot (for the most part) almost a decade ago. Android was really the only product that was consistently chugging along; most of their projects have been nothing but premature cancellations, even if the product was actually good (I’m looking at you, Inbox).
Nah, that would’ve spread the company too thin. Apple needed that laser-focus approach they had in the iPhone days, else they’d be dead.
An incredibly rare example of ‘I won’t buy it unless you pay me to’ actually working out in real life.
Yeah, I don’t think anyone’s denying that MS is a shitty company; we’re just talking about companies that have either improved, or haven’t gotten significantly worse, because some other company bought them out.
Great looks and shit everything else would be super on-brand for Jaguar
As others have said, something being stupid in the past doesn’t excuse it being stupid now. And hey, I’d get it if we were still dealing with a couple movies a year, but now it’s a flood of content that nobody can keep up with unless Marvel is their only hobby.
I’m sorry, but She Hulk? Loki was whatever, the Xmas special and BP2 were fine and Guardians 3 was amazing, but really?
Sorry, I know it’s just an opinion but I got severe whiplash seeing that title up there.
How much of it? The world’s largest and most famous billionaires don’t even make up a rounding error in the world’s economy (hell, most countries blow Musk’s entire fortune annually on the dumbest conceivable shit), nor is their money ‘removed’ from it. Hell, the richest people in the world have the vast majority of their wealth tied up in their own company’s stocks, which by definition is money that’s playing an active role in the economy.
Like seriously dude, there’s good reasons to hate billionaires and the current state of the global economy, but at least come up with valid arguments and criticisms that can convince people; otherwise, you’re just blowing hot air that only serves to paint legitimate critics as crazy people.
So what’s your solution to all this? Because if the US is down, you know China will emerge as the next hegemon and they’re magnitudes worse.
Great idea genius, next you’ll tell me that the solution to get rid of human greed would be to get rid of humans!
Then multiplayer should be its own app. Making a whole single-player game unplayable just so you can push anticheat cruft into everything.
What, you expected people to stand up against a tinpot dictator who would happily torture them and their families? Would you do that?
And Trump was literally about to take the final step towards killing democracy in America. He might not have invaded Mexico during his term, but he sure was setting up the environment where he could’ve gotten away with it and quashed any protest against it.
Complaining about capitalism isn’t an argument.
And how about the millions who weren’t okay with Putin, but were forced into silence because one person can’t fight governmental tyranny? Like, I don’t support Russia’s invasion and I think Putin needs to pay, but do millions of Russians who had no say whatsoever (and were brainwashed for decades through expertly crafted propaganda) deserve to starve alongside their children for the actions of a monster?
If you say ‘yes’, then tell me if all Americans deserve to suffer the consequence of Trump’s presidency when the majority didn’t even vote for the guy.
It needs to be viable first, which obviously won’t happen when the management keeps stumbling into PR nightmares weekly.
