Toxic work culture, simple as. One needs look no further than the fact that the managers felt it was ok to do this in the first place.

The white flower is supposed to be rare but looks to be a commercially available hybrid. Did you take these from a planted garden or are they wild? If they’re wild, unless youre in South Africa, the ID is probably incorrect
