‘random’ doesn’t exist with companies. It’s always whoever paid more is what gets referred. Reddit clearly proved this. Click random, yet get NFL…right, try again…oh it’s EA?..sure is random. What are the odds I keep getting referred to things that have huge money behind them…
Sync is probably ok, but it depends on what’s pushing the random. For Reddit, I assume it was just sending a signal to the Reddit random which well…is not random.

Sync for Reddit and for Lemmy has a random button, and I think it works fine 🙃
Anyway, perhaps going random in all the wide variety of what YT offers doesn’t look nice… But what about filtering only your subscriptions???
