I’m a Fedia user and I made this thread on !physicsgifs@lemm.ee this morning. It’s doing great there! There are 10 comments, and you can see them on Lemm.ee, but none of the comments are viewable on Fedia. Weird. I’ve never had this happen before. A Lemm.ee federation problem, maybe?
Edit: Oh, I know what happened now. So, the first comment is from a startrek.website user, and Fedia defederated startrek.website. All of the other comments are replies (or replies to replies) in that user’s comment thread. Therefore, Fedia missed all those comments.
I’m certainly willing to give startrek another shot - the reports about them were getting overwhelming at one point, which led me to blocking the instance.
Personally, I don’t mind waiting for the software to catch up (user-level instance blocks) if that makes your life easier, but I don’t know how representative I am or how long that wait will be.
