He essentially said, in his book, “American Dynasty”, that Republicans think of the working class as dirt to be used however they royally please, while Democrats at least acknowledged that the working class enabled them to be where they are and supported them.

Maybe that was true in 2004 when it was published but it is no longer true. Both see the working class as dirt.
