How would your life change if you took a two week break from all your smart devices?
For the first time in ages, I took out a deck of cards and stopped using my phone and computer for non work things for a few hours extra each day. I noticed myself feeling more at peace and better prepared for my days in general. Other housemates put their phones away out of curiosity to participate in the card game (even though it was solitaire) and we talked better than we have in some time.
I don’t see this as a basis to make a recommendation to others, but am curious about how you expect life to meet you in that space left when the devices and distractions are away.
I need mine for work, so it’s not even possible. I’m already making a point to use it sparingly when I don’t have to.
I’d have literally no idea what’s happening in the world. I can’t tolerate broadcast news and I’d have no idea where to even obtain a news paper.

What would you do in the absence of news etc in that case?
