+1 also if you join beehaw, you don’t get access to some instances such as lemmy.world.
They “defederated” them to create a “safe space”, because lemmy.world does not ask you to write an essay on a set of questions (like beehaw does) when you join.
I have a lemmy.world but it felt a bit slow and sometimes on jerboa I’d get a “pending” when I subscribed to communities on other instances, lemmy.one seems way faster and I don’t get the “pending” issue.
In my experience so far, Lemmy.one has been the best. Fast, safe, responsive, and has a friendly community.
Edit: With a huge flaw that I discovered, that it does not allow you to downvote. I mean you can downvote the same post from other instances. Anyway this led me to lemm.ee. I don’t know if that would be the final one I stick to, but so far it’s looking good.

Clearly the best solution was to have created an account on a completely random instance before this all went down by complete accident!
Everything’s going according to plan!
