    A state-licensed dispensary selling lab-tested products.

(But I buy my shrooms from a church.)

The nearest dispensary is about a block away. Three blocks to the right is another dispensary, and if you mess up and turn left instead, there’s a different one about 6 blocks that direction.

Lucky you. Goddamn I’m so jealous. The best I have is a restaurant that sells cannabis-infused Mexican food, brownies, cookies and gummies that’s a half hour away. But it’s also expensive as hell so it’s more of a novelty.

When the state legalized the neighbor city added a tax on all cannabis products. So 80% of the dispensaries opened in this city. Now those dispensaries are in a price war with each other. The number of places with giant signs out front about $30 ounces makes me think that a market correction is on the way.

Most states which legalized years ago have been having problems with over-supply. It’s driven down prices for consumers, certainly, but also made it hard for growers and distributors to make it - which is obviously very normal, I mean, if you have a town with 100,000 people, and some small fraction them actually want to buy weed and there are already 60 weed shops - no surprise. Many people who went to Colorado to start grow ops and seek their fortune went to Oklahoma a few years ago, and then wow, it turns out Oklahoma doesn’t have a limitless legal market and now they’re leaving Oklahoma.

I kinda hate how massive the weed industry is because these places mean a lot less variety in the retail spaces near me. So many are weed/vape shops and so few are other types of businesses.

That’s not a joke in basically any large Canadian city, that’s just facts. And not even just in downtown but basically anywhere commercially zoned

I grow my own shrooms, too.

Whatever you do, don’t inject the spores that bought from the spore traders subreddit into the myco bag you bought off amazon and leave it in the closet for a while. These annoying mushrroms grow, and they don’t taste great.

Can you just grow it outside? In Germany we will be allowed to grow our own soon and I’m wondering whether I need at least a glass house or if a big pot (hehe) is enough. Are those plants Perennials?

I’ve just fallen down that rabbit home in expectation of the legalization here in Germany. It you want I’ll send you my notes.

The short of it: growing outdoors might be really difficult in Germany, as you have to make sure the plot isn’t visible to passers-by or your neighbors and their kids. At least that was how it was phrased before the new revision today.

That being said, there are a number of strains that grow outdoors in Scandinavia. Professional Seed retailers like royal queen seeds have dedicated info pages and/or filters for that usually.

Googling “grow cannabis outdoor cold climate” should set you off in the right direction.

You can grow outside, but it depends on the climate. I’m from the US in a region that’s very well known for being great for growing bud outdoors.

Try looking up outdoor growing for Germany, specifically in the area you live. Not only the weather, but the soil and amount of daylight/ night time they get matters too. During the first part of the grow, your plants need at least 16 hours of sunlight, and at the end during flowering you need as close to 12 hours sunlight and 12 hours dark as possible.

There are cannabis stores around the corner from me in both directions

If I still smoked I’d just shuffle over to one of them and snag some food from one of the food carts on the way back

I love living in a state where weed is legal commercially. I buy gummies at a dispensary down the road from me since it carries a brand with no residual pot flavor - my wife hates the taste of MJ. I get a tincture I like from a dispensary near my gym. Both make use of microemulsions to provide a fast acting high. When I was across the country in another state where it is legal, I could Google dispensaries, read reviews, and find one close to my hotel that people loved.

In states where it is legal, weed shops have become like any other specialty retail shop, and I am here for it.

I usually go to the weed store next to the Safeway, but there’s also one next to the food co-op I hit up sometimes
