I’m not from a native english speaking country, but my parents taught us siblings english first before we learned the local language. There were some minor issues (i.e. other kids won’t talk/play with us because we couldn’t converse well), but it paid off in the long run because we are generally more fluent than the average person from our country, and we have neutral accents when speaking english. It helped a lot working in the corporate world.
Also, make it a habit to wipe down your shower walls after a shower. This prevents gunk build up and mold. It will be harder if you don’t clean it regularly.
I just use a paper towel to grab the handle (if there’s no foot pedal). What’s annoying is when there’s no trash can near the door to toss the paper towel while exiting.
Their riffs are so simple but so good to bob your head too. I hope I can catch them on tour with Xero, as I missed the last one.

I had the same sentiment about the implications of
Alia not being born
in the movie, but I also understand they were already running at almost 3 hours. Maybe an extra montage to show time passing by? Or maybe that’s too cliche. Either way, it’s still the best film of 2024 for me.
Randomly asked my boss to relocate me to another country. I’ve been living abroad for 5 years now.
Sirens and phone alarm clocks as well. The latter gives me PTSD when it’s a weekend and I hear it.
Don’t go full supervillain, just a little bit less.

That’s a mouthful. Also, it would be so ironic for Wide Awake Media to complain about woke stuff.
Marketplace. Yes it’s full of scammers, but I still manage to buy and sell stuff there. Just do local in-person transactions in safe places and you’ll generally be fine. Also, a lot of my acquaintances are still there, so I still have Messenger to keep in touch. But that’s basically all I use it for.
100%. The majority of my health concerns at the moment are my teeth, and because dental is separate, I’m spending a lot more out of pocket because the maximum coverage is so much lower.
I also prefer dense, urban living, but currently not in that situation. Working in tech in a tech hub blue city in a red state. Relatively lower cost of living, but above average pay. But yes, public transportation is almost non-existent, and you have to deal with the state trying to screw your city over all the time because of politics.
Is this like prions for software?
When setting an auto-reply out of office message, don’t forget to configure it to only reply to internal email senders, else you’ll be sharing some pretty juicy info (names and contact details) to people outside your organization.
I’m attending BSides right now and holy crap one of the three rooms for talks is just all AI topics for the entire 2 days. Not that it’s bad, but the talks do become repetitive, and it’s the same stuff being said over and over again. The organizers also probably didn’t anticipate the number of people interested in the topic because they put those talks in the smallest room among the three. And the biggest room was like less than half filled at maximum.
Root canals. The procedure has come a long way since the 90s and is relatively smooth and painless now. Obviously having a good and skillful edodontist also helps, but it’s no longer excruciating like decades ago.
How does one do the clapping thing in real life? Do you clap along with every word, or alternate between word and clap?
