Rhythm games do it for me!
I have been waiting for the AEW Wrestling game Fight Forever to be cheap, and am having a lovely time! It’s very fun to play, and has an okay roster (i got DLC with it).
I wouldn’t be thrilled with buying on release at £50 and then £80 on DLC, but under 20 for the lot seemed okay :) definitely not perfect, but a fun game with some cool details. :)
Also the keyboard! I have never used one I liked more until thumbkey came along :) The windows keyboard was so good for swipe typing, it makes me wonder how they now own swift key and it isn’t as good!
When I had to go to Android (phone battery on the Lumia 950xl started swelling), I used things to replicate Windows Phone as it was so fun to use. :)
New Kim Deal album! :) It’s so unexpectedly…brass, strings, quirky! Wait no I did expect quirky! :)
Awesome! I’m really glad! :) there’s nothing like rocking an album on the day it comes out! I’m dropping lead weighted hints that I need it for christmas, that and being broke are the sole reasons it’s not on order already 😂
That’s so interesting! As a kid I remember not liking much music until I found some individual songs that I loved, then I couldn’t get enough and albums were my thing!
I’m a bit of both on albums - some I have on end to end no matter what (R.E.M especially), but then there’s some bands I’m like you and wander off halfway through! :)
Trying to think of bands that genre-hop and might be fun for you end-to-end on one disc
Great thread idea, I’m going to listen to a batch of these as they sound excellent! :)
For me I’m utterly loving the new Kim Deal* album “Nobody Loves You More” - it came out today, and oh yes it’s good!
It’s unexpected with style, almost 60s with brass and strings at times, then there’s other songs that sound modern… and beyond making my ears happy, it’s great songwriting :)

Ughh my RDP into work is the only reason I have a minimal windows install :/
I love mint, but I can’t get work’s IT support people to go near it (needs the preshared key and some settings to get their Sharepoint VPN working). It grates having to boot into windows!
Really hope more people at work ask for Linux support and I don’t need 11, but not holding my breath. :)
I feel bad (job losses are bad), but I need to note the Tea/teeter pun in the headline.
Thank you, I’m not alone! :)
Omg shadow of memories! What a pick :) great game that I’ve heard barely anyone talk about :)
It feels like the rules to say an official english translation for Mother 3! Loved playing it (if Nintendo read this I did not play it)
Guiltily I’d also love a WWF Smackdown or Here Comes the Pain remaster, same arcade gameplay, same roster, or updated but just prettier and expanded! :)
Primus sucks! Hope they continue being amazing in their lovely zany ways. :)
Ooh I notice nobody has mentioned Wasteland 3 - it totally slipped under my radar, it is a fastastic RPG, with a fun story and good combat! :) It’s what I’d love fallout to be :)
Emesene and pidgin were great! :)
My peavey modeling amp was very proud that it went up to 13! :}
Being entirely honest, I would be on board with any tekken game that didn’t do season passes and DLC. :) The classics were great, and the newer games are fun too, and I’d still be playing the new games if not for that.
That said, I’d love a modern tekken 3 - I’d even be fine with a reskin of 8 that had those characters looking like they did (why not, maybe some extra ones too), volleyball, force mode etc.*
There’s interest from me if they don’t paywall stuff in what’s already an expensive game. :)
*i know my “just a reskin of 8” clashes directly with adding game modes, but I think I’d like them in there if it’s a hypothetical remake.
I didn’t realise U2 once did make great music! Can recommend 1001 albums generator - it’s righting a few musical wrongs in my brain :)
Coast by Kim Deal :)
Always Sometimes Monsters gets my vote! It was a good story and I felt like it was a great use of a weekend. Might not be everyone’s cup of tea (text-based, no combat), but I loved it!
