Reminds me of the guy in the MAGAT hat who flagged 4 people at the range and got kicked out.

He was all upset and didn’t understand what was going on. Definitely not someone who should be in possession of a firearm.

I used to do car electronics installs for a living. The amount of firearms I’d find was staggering.

Many times where we needed to get to/behind the glovebox, or remove the center console (which usually requires pulling every item being stored in it before removal), and we’d just find the handgun sitting right there. Had one where the client dropped off their vehicle and the gun was laying right on the floorboard.

Not firearm related, but I had a little old lady come in one time, wanted to get a radio done. Went to remove her center console so we could install an aftermarket USB in the factory USB location (adapter didn’t work with carplay too well) and I found a rusted ice pick in the center console. She was definitely ready to make someone’s day worse.

There should at least be an intelligence test to getting a firearm. You shouldn’t be able to own a life ending weapon if you have the intelligence of a toddler or turtle

Some low intelligence people are good at following rules, and abhor the idea of hurting people, I’m sure there is a better trait to discriminate on

when you’re holding a tool that has the single purpose of ending someone’s life, rules are the baseline… common sense is also a requirement, because interpreting how rules apply to a situation isn’t necessarily cut and dry

I feel like every CCW training course has at least one idiot. Mine had a woman with a gun in her purse and she said that she had it when the instructor asked if anyone was carrying a firearm…

Yes… But why would you try to get your carry permit if you don’t know you already can’t be carrying?

CCW training courses have lots of idiots in them. Idiots that will soon be able to legally carry a firearm in public.

Just be thankful for areas that actually have training courses. In my state it’s literally a fee and a signature. Really not even that anymore

All these are top level stupid except racking a shotgun. It’s loud, sounds exactly like one thing, and is one further deterrent before possibly ending a life.

That said, no guarantees that the person who said it wasn’t an idiot.

Until you need to pull the trigger and realize that you didnt have time to play badass before getting shot by the intruder.

“I have a gun and I will shoot you.” Works just as well and doesn’t leave you vulnerable.

If you’re racking the gun you should be pulling the trigger a second later

Definitely sounds like Idaho. The exception, I think, being Teton county. That’s mainly multimillionaires that couldn’t afford to live with the billionaires in Jackson.

According to my google search results, ECCW is either a Dutch cyber security organisation, or a Canadian Wrestling thing.

After a 10 second google search, i’ve found it’s idaho’s Enhanced Concealed Carry Weapons class. Which you have to take to carry a gun around.

Normally, general classes needed to do some other half-unrelated class is always like this. Anyone in high school knows the difference between the finance class and the engineering class.

I was shooting my fully legal, registered SBR at a private range I was sharing with some boomer. He saw the length of it and was like, “Ooooh! Don’t get caught by law enforcement with that or you’ll be in deep shit!”. I explained that I had all the proper paperwork for it and even showed him that it was engraved with my name and the city I “built” the gun in like the law requires. He was still like, “…yeah but that’s a stock, not a pistol brace”. I just decided to drop the topic after assuring him one more time that it’s legal.
